Welcome to the official cover reveal of Z. Allora’s latest release, The Temple of Heaven, coming soon from Dreamspinner Press. Not only do we have the reveal to share with you, but there’s also a giveaway, so be sure to check out those details too!
Thank you, Lisa and the Novel Approach, for allowing me to reveal my cover of The Temple of Heaven drawn by PL Nunn. I captured the scene where Jordon and Tian Di are visiting the colorful Temple of Heaven in Beijing. This building is part of the imperial complex where emperors have gone to pray during two dynasties.
Here’s a picture of me & my love visiting the Temple of Heaven. We lived in China for six years and made numerous trips to Beijing.
And Now for the Cover
And the Blurb
Music is Tian Di’s life and his love, and he’s made plenty of sacrifices. His career is finally taking off with his band, Made in China, and he’ll continue to put music first… until he meets Jordon. Then insta-lust becomes insta-love and a commitment to the future—no matter how difficult it might be.
Jordon lives in a bubble constructed by his overprotective older brothers, who are so controlling that they’ve kept him from dating. A talented artist, Jordon managed to keep his success with a Japanese manga publisher a secret from his family, but now he fears discovery. It’s easier to let his brothers handle everything, but Jordon has reached his limit. He’s ready to draw some boundaries so he can be his own man and face all the challenges that come with that.
Their families and careers aren’t the only obstacles. Jordon must accept his identity as a gay man who doesn’t top or bottom. Fortunately, Tian Di—and his special talents—help Jordon open up to his sexuality in an erotic adventure that spans Japan and China, and with love, luck, hard work, and open minds, will end in a happily ever after.

The Giveaway
I’d like to giveaway an eBook of The Great Wall. The Great Wall is first in the Made in China series. You do NOT need to read the first book to get the second (you’ll just have more detail as to why Indigo can be such an ass & how closeted China is). The first book is set mostly in Suzhou, China. In The Temple of Heaven I take you from NY to Suzhou to Beijing to Shanghai to Japan to Hong Kong.
To enter the giveaway: Leave a comment about where you’d like to visit if you ever get to China. I’ll pick on June 18th and notify the winner via email. And don’t forget to leave your email address in the comment!
About the Prize
Destiny will be decided by a battle between heart and mind….
Jun Tai “Styx” Wong loves two things: playing the drums, and his best friend, Jin. But being a good Chinese son means he can’t have either—he’ll have to marry a girl of his parents’ choosing and settle into a traditional job. His move to the bigger city of Suzhou is both a blessing and curse, as living with Jin makes it harder for Styx to suppress his desires. Nearly dying while trying to eradicate his feelings serves as a wake-up call for Jin, who takes extreme measures to keep Styx safe from harm.
When given a second chance at life and happiness, will Styx be able to claim the future he wants with Jin, his bandmates, and his music? Can love and hope grow with the constantly looming threat of Styx’s parents ordering him home? Great things await—if Styx finds the courage to break down the wall that stands between him and everything he wants.
Congratulations, Z. It is a beautiful cover. If I ever went to China, I would love to visit the Great Wall, the Xian Warriors, and of course, Pekín

Great choices!
Hugs, Z
Gorgeous cover, Z! I’m always anxious about travelling – not so much the language/culture clash, but the fact that I don’t handle crowds or chaos very well. Still, with so much history, I’d love to tour some of the old temples and tombs.
Thanks! I have to say I might have a monk fetish… it was thrilling to see the saffron robes blowing in the wind. At one point we were alone with a chanting monk… We just listened for 20 minutes transported to a place of peace. Hugs, Z.
I’m not sure where I would want to go if I was to visit China. I know I would like to try the cuisine though and do some shopping.
sorry forgot my email: humhumbum AT yahoo DOT com
Some of the best shopping EVER. Hugs, Z.
Another wonderful cover for the series. Of course there are the cities there I’d like to visit, but I’ve also heard that Jiuzhaigou Valley is beautiful.

It is!!! Hugs, Z.
I’d love to spend some time walking along the Great Wall.
It really is amazing. Though there’s section you have to use your hands to walk up the nearly vertical places. Hugs, Z.
Both covers are stunning! I would have to pick The Great Wall, followed by the ancient tombs, and the museums. boomonday@yahoo.com
Suzhou museum (which the guys go to in The Temple of Heaven) is all kinds of stunning as is the one in Beijing. Hugs, Z.
Thank you all for playing. The number picked was #1. Susana left her email so I’ll contact her immediately. Big hugs, Z
Beautiful cover Z! Looking forward to this one!
