Lucas Vallois and Andrei Hadeon are finally ready to walk down the aisle. There’s just one small problem.
A ghost from Lucas’s past shows up days before the wedding, desperate for help. Against his better judgement, Lucas and his best friend, Ashton Frost, plan a fast trip back to the one place they swore they’d never go: their hometown in Oklahoma. But the danger is worse than they expected.
Now, they’re in a race to track down a killer, keep a young girl safe, and get Lucas back in time to say, “I do.”
Review: This is the time that Lucas Vallois and Andrei Hadeon are supposed to be enjoying the chaos of their upcoming wedding—again—until Snow shows up with Lucas’s estranged sister, Nicole. Needless to say, Lucas is not happy with his sister, or with Snow for bringing his sister to him. With Andre’s calming persuasion, he gets Lucas to listen to his sister. When Lucas finds that he has a niece who needs help, he and Snow go back to Oklahoma where their ugly past rears its head.
Andrei’s been left behind to deal with the upcoming wedding plans, with the promise that Lucas would be back in a day, but there’s trouble abound, and before it’s over, Andrei has made his way to Oklahoma. Not far behind is Rowe, Noah, and the backup from Ward Security. Once again, the camaraderie is in full force as they team up to save and protect Lucas’s sister and niece.
There’s action, suspense, humor, an explosion, and a lot of steamy scenes starring Lucas and Andrei in this installment of the Unbreakable Bonds series. There’s also a more in-depth look at Lucas’s family and the turmoil that drove him away. There’s a little mystery too, with Ashton “Snow” Frost and flashbacks of his life in Oklahoma. I’m not much on wedding stories, but I liked how the authors melded this one with lots of danger. I caught myself several times throughout, thinking about the classic old song, Get Me to the Church on Time!
This was a definite gem of a page-turner from Drake and Elliott, and I have to say they have an amazing gem in graphic artist Stephen Drake. Awesome cover on this one!!
