From the Author
Hello! Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out the cover reveal for Showers Flowers and Fangs. I have, no joke, been sitting on this cover ever since it was completed, absolutely dying to show it off. I have shared it with literally everyone I was allowed to, and I’m incredibly happy to finally be able to share it with the world.
I love this cover so, so much. I’m not very artistically inclined at all, nor am I a very visual person, so I tend to struggle with cover designs. Artists ask for my input and I have no idea where to start. In this case, however, I knew exactly what I wanted, right down to the water accents around the edge.
As probably expected from the title, Showers Flowers and Fangs has rain and flora show up a lot in the book, due to Darren’s fae side. Fangs, of course, represent Vlad, the newly-turned-and-terrified vampire. I’m so ridiculously pleased with what my artist, Anna, came up with. She was so on point in interpreting what I described and I think it’s perfect. I hope you like it too!

Blurb: Darren’s a pretty normal teenager: high school, exams, hanging out with friends, puberty. The whole half-fae thing adds some complications and being a trans guy makes his life a little more difficult, but he can’t complain. That is, until a newly turned vampire moves in with the witch down the street. Vlad, surly and standoffish, doesn’t seem to like Darren very much, so Darren is content to give him a wide berth—at first. As they grow closer, Darren realizes Vlad is having a hard time adjusting to his newfound vampirism, and since Darren knows how it feels to be uncomfortable in your own skin, he thinks he can help. While it turns out Vlad is pretty great, his problems are deeper than Darren realizes, and more dangerous.
Despite the dangers, feelings begin developing between the two young men.
Darren just hopes he’s not in over his head.

About the Author
Aidan Wayne has been a jeweler, paralegal, neurofeedback technician, and martial arts instructor, and that’s not even the whole list. They’ve been in constant motion since before they were born (pity Aidan’s mom)—and being born didn’t change anything. When not moving, Aidan is usually writing, so things tend to balance out. They primarily write character-driven stories with happy endings, because, dammit, queer people deserve happy endings too.
Aidan lives with altogether too many houseplants on the seventh floor of an apartment building. The building has an elevator, but Aidan refuses to acknowledge its existence.
