As the song goes, “True, that he’s no Prince Charming / But there’s something in him that I simply didn’t see,” so goes Asher Williams. He may be the Chief Matchmaker on campus, but when it comes to seeing what’s right before his eyes, he… Well, let’s just say that mistakes were made. Words were said. A secret was discovered. He didn’t listen to his heart.

And not a single fairy godmother in sight.

One thing is clear, Asher is the only one who has claim to and can tame the beast he suddenly finds himself falling in love with, and Summers pays full homage to that in A King in Wonderland. Once he wakes up from the dream in which he’s lost the wrong guy, Asher dives into his true heart’s quest with a patient determination to win the man who is so much more than the Prince Charming of some fairy tale. Each of the novellas in this trilogy is so earnest in its message that everyone deserves a happily ever after, and Summers appears to have delighted in delivering Asher and Morgan’s to her readers.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with reading for the sheer joy of watching two people stumble into and then fall madly in love, and that’s exactly what Happily Ever Asher delivers. Grab this bright and breezy little series for that, if nothing else.
