Justin knows three things for sure about DJ Dangerfield:
He has some questionable taste in music.
He always provokes Justin into ringing in.
And he might just be his favorite weekly distraction.
But who is this DJ Dangerfield in Real Life? And will Justin like him in the flesh as much as on the air?
Review: You know what? Sometimes you just need a little Anyta Sunday in your life; and today was one of those days for me. I wanted something short, that I could just fall into and enjoy. Something that I didn’t have to think too much about, that would make me smile and maybe give me some swoony feels. So, I went to one of my go-to faves and found DJ Dangerfield lurking in her backlist.
Justin is a long-time listener (and far from first-time caller) of DJ Dangerfield’s late-night radio show. In fact, Justin has been calling in to the local college radio show every Tuesday night for a year. An entire year! As one can imagine, after speaking every week for a year, the pair have developed a routine of sorts. Some might call this banter-filled weekly argument over bands and music just a fun little pastime that they each look forward to. But others, including those close to Justin and Dangerfield, might actually call it flirting.
It’s extremely common in today’s world to develop friendships and even romantic relationships with people you’ve never met “in real life”, as they say. Many people talk to people online or over the phone, sometimes for years, without ever having laid eyes on them. But there comes a time in many of those relationships where the question comes up…Do you want to meet in person? That’s the crossroads Justin and his mysterious DJ find themselves at. Do they want to meet, and possibly break that little once-a-week spell they have going on?
To find out if they do meet, and if the spell stays alive, you’ll have to read the book, my friends! DJ Dangerfield is a fun, sweet, New Adult novella that is definitely worth the read. It made me smile and gave me the little escape I was looking for after a long week. If you’re looking for a cute, short read to just take your mind off things for a bit, this is a good one to pick up. 😊
