Blurb: Being called upon to pull Santa’s sleigh is an honour for any reindeer shifter, but for Dashiel the timing couldn’t be worse.
Stuart was looking forward to his Christmas Eve date with Dashiel, only to have him cancel at the last minute. He puts his disappointment aside and instead focuses on making his younger brother’s Christmas as wonderful as it can be, despite the loss of their parents the previous winter.
While flying over his home town, Dashiel spots a young boy on the streets, and he knows he has to help. When the young runaway turns out to be his date’s little brother, he brings him on board the sleigh, determined to see him safely home to Stuart.
Can a reindeer shifter pull Santa’s sleigh, reunite two brothers, and find love this Christmas?
Review: What a cool premise for a story! I’m so glad that I saw a friend’s recommendation for L.M. Brown’s Sleigh Ride tonight. Such a fun, quick read, and it was especially fun to get back into the Christmas spirit a few weeks after the fact, even if only for a little while. 😊
Dashiel is a reindeer shifter, who has never received the magical summons to help pull Santa’s sleigh—until now. And, it couldn’t have come at a worse time. Of course, it’s an honor…but, instead of being the exciting treat that it is, this year, for Dashiel, it means breaking the Christmas Eve date he finally got the courage to invite his co-worker on after months of crushing on him. Stuart is disappointed, and confused, after hearing something over the phone he shouldn’t have heard when Dashiel called, so Dashiel can’t wait to get the night over with so he can get back and explain. To make matters worse, though, Stuart’s little brother spots Dashiel—and the big guy himself—during the present run, and adds a further complication for Dashiel to deal with.
I loved the idea and the imagination behind this one. I would have loved it even more if it had been a bit more fleshed out, but I definitely enjoyed what the author gave us! Dashiel and Stuart were super cute together, and I liked where the story ended up. Furthermore, the cover is gorgeous, the title is perfect, and it left me with a smile on my face. What more could you ask for, really?! I absolutely recommend if you’re looking for a short, sweet Christmas read!
