Review: The holiday season is upon us, and that means Garrett Leigh has delivered unto us a romance with gobs of heart and some sweet angst and so much pining to devour.

Returning to the near vicinity of her previous holiday offerings, Christmas Mountain and Christmas on Firefly Hill, Stardust Lane sets the scene for a romance of opportunity. Tam is in need of a lodger, Bhodie is in need of lodgings, and the rest is the stuff of great love stories.

Leigh builds the intense chemistry between Tam and Bhodie among the immediacy of love (or at least extreme infatuation) at first sight. Their close proximity is to the advantage of building a friendship of opportunity, but it’s through communication and honesty and mutual respect that love overcomes everything that happened before it. The hurt and the comfort don’t let up for a single moment from the instant Tam and Bhodie meet to the fruition of all the hours spent together simply being there with and for each other.
