Review: Bo has been in love with the town sheriff forever—waaaaaayyyy too long in my opinion. He let his infatuation turn into love in his head, and just can’t seem to shake the feelings even though he has tried. The problem is, Bo lives and works on Bulldog’s ranch and as such, has to see and talk to the man every day. Bo is forty-one and he has finally decided that it is time to move on from his crush.
Sam Kinsey has watched Bo pine for the sheriff, and now that the man is finally moving on, he feels it’s his duty to help him stand on his own. Only thing is that Sam is a little awkward, and keeps tripping his own self up with the man by saying to doing the wrong thing every time they meet. There are some humorous parts to the story here, with the whole small town getting in on the romance and trying to set the two men up. Bo keeps getting more and more frustrated the more innocent townspeople try to match-make with him and Sam. It is actually sweet that so many people love and care for this man that they try and help. In a lot of ways, Bo breaks your heart because of his inability to move on, but Sam is a true lifesaver, teaching Bo what real love means and not judging Bo in any way.
This is a book about moving on from a wrong first love. It’s about hot cowboy sex. It’s about acceptance and understanding from the ones in our life who are meant to be there for the long haul. And, oh yeah, it’s about hot cowboy sex. This book is a solid 3.5 star read, just take it for what it is—a light read with likable characters and a HEA with, yeah, hot cowboy sex.
