Blurb: At this point in their lives Dominick and Rob are sure of only one thing, they love each other and nothing will ever change that. But there are challenges and compromises to be made. Will the sacrifices they make to please each other end up making them miserable?
Review: Rob springs the idea of fostering Logan Washington on Dominick, and Dominick is more than upset about it. He and Rob have only been married two years, and have just barely gotten their chaotic life together, but now Logan has come up missing, and Rob is frantic that Logan has been taken by a former pimp, Woody. Rob has come to favor the thirteen-year-old, who is one of the wards at Martindale Correctional Institute for boys.
Woody, also being a gambler, is in hock to the mob. Dominick, against his better judgement, gives in to Rob and makes a deal with his devious mobster father, Frank Cortez, who’s been convicted of murder and is back behind bars. But Dominick can’t go against his principles and doesn’t hold up his end of the deal, and now, not even his father can prevent mobsters from going after Dominick. When things get dangerous, Dominick ends up saving a young boy, Jacob Graves, who is having a difficult time connecting with people.
As if there isn’t enough chaos in their lives, Rob’s ex, Kyle, comes pleading for help from Dominick. Rob, trying to help Kyle, invites him to dinner, and too much wine causes some friction between Rob and Dominick. When Dominick’s patience is pushed too far, he leaves the apartment. When he returns, he can’t believe what’s going on, and Dominick and Rob have to make some difficult decisions about their life. Can they find a way to keep their love alive?
Patterns Uncharted picks up where Patterns Revealed leaves off. It’s just as action packed, with danger, murder, drama, humor and lots of love, and it all rolls into a great page-turner. Everyone’s life changes in this installment of the Patterns series—some changes are good, some are bad, but mostly they’re good. Suede Delray made me feel as if this may be the last book of the series. If it is, I have to say I’ve enjoyed every installment, and will miss Dominick and Rob as well as Betty, Sophie, Bear, Logan and Jacob. I may even miss Frank Cortez, one of the most outrageous villains ever. Happy reading!
