Aubrey King and his band Falling in Stereo were at the height of their fame in the late nineties, just like the bands below. Grunge and Industrial Rock were the thing and Aubrey’s sound would definitely encompass those styles. Aubrey pours his whole heart and soul into his songs, but sometimes it leaves him drained when all that people seem to care about is his fame or how much money they can make off his talent. Will the overpowering connection he feels with music journalist Bryan be reciprocated? Will thing be different this time? Or will Bryan run away from their potential bond, too afraid to confront questions about his own sexuality? A lot of Aubrey’s angst can be captured through the songs by the artists of that era, and here are a few that make me think of Aubrey when I hear them.

Dream Cast: 

The film Bohemian Rhapsody—about Freddie Mercury and Queen—will be out soon, and the filmmakers did an amazing job with the casting. I wish Aubrey were real! If I were to cast a film about his life, these are the closest current actors who I think would do an awesome performance.

Rock idol Aubrey King: Either Guy Pearce or Jared Leto. I think either of them would kill the role.

Rock journalist Bryan Gallagher: Matt Bomer is a tad too old for Bryan’s role, but he might be able to get away with it. He has the perfect look and demeanor! Or perhaps Alex Pettyfer? I could easily see him playing the part and it so happens that he’s Bryan’s exact age.
